The 2013 Homeschooler experience dates are September 7 – 22. Special rates are available during this period for homeschoolers. Groups or individuals are welcome.
Spring experiences emphasize domestic life and include opportunities to explore family life, education, and the apprenticeship system. Visits to trade shops encourage students to delve into sciences and math as well as history. A variety of interactive experiences exclusively for homeschoolers is featured daily at the Powell House.

The homeschool ticket is good for admission to both museums throughout the entire date range. In addition, optional hands-on programs and guided tours are available for students and their families.
Students can enroll in one of three programs at each museum, according to grade level, and families can register for an interactive, two-hour guided tour at each museum. Each ticketholder is entitled to one hands-on program and one family tour at each museum. Hands-on classroom programs and family tours must be scheduled separately following ticket purchase by calling group reservations at (757) 253-4939. Call early!
