Lego League Robotics Team
I am Sean Lewis and we are Homeschool our 4 boys in Barboursville, WV. We are starting a New Lego League Robotics Team.

The name of our Team will be the Robotic Knights. We will be starting our Team Times at the End of January 2010. I am sending this information out now because this is the time to start recruiting those who are seriously interested.

Our Team will consist of 2 Teams:
JR First Lego League (Ages 6-9)
First Lego League (Ages 9-14)

I will be the Coach for the Older Team, FLL, and my wife will be the Coach for the JR FLL. We are hoping to have at least 4 Children per team including our children. We have 3 boys involved.

The Cost:
Our family will be fronting the Cost to get started but we will try to have parent meetings to organize fundraisers for future costs. So for now everything is free.

We plan to have Team Times on Saturdays between 1-4 pm. This allows Team members time for homeschool during the week and Saturday Morning sports. We are willing do change Team times to more accommodate Team member's schedules.

Looks as if we will be meeting in the Barboursville Library for Team Times on Saturdays between 1-4pm starting January 2010.

Golden Horseshoe Award
Congratulations to Chad Blain of Mason County for  winning the Golden Horseshoe.  This is a contest that homeschoolers can enter.   He took it at Hannan High School during the WV History teacher's planning period.  The student has to go twice, once to write an essay (which I have been told is used for a tie-breaker) and once to take the actual test, which is online (but you have to take it at a school, not at home, and we could pick which school).
